Presentation: 2C03 Session: Advancing Targets to HTSKambiz Shekdar, Dennis Sawchuk Jessica Langer and Gunter Blobel (Rockefeller University), Chromocell Corporation Presenting Author: Kambiz Shekdar, Chromocell Corporation - USA Chromocell® is commercializing a proprietary technology enabling the rapid production of high quality stable cell lines. Termed Chromovert™, the technology utilizes fluorogenic probes for detection of multiple mRNAs in living cells and automatically isolates positive clones. A key feature of Chromvert™ is the ability to analyze individual living cells without compromising cell viability. Hundreds of thousands of cells are analyzed and rare cells most highly over-expressing one or more genes are isolated by cell sorting. Chromovert™ overhauls the previously manual and time-consuming steps that impeded cell engineering and cell line production. Efficient, automated production is in turn leveraged to result in superior cell line quality with more than ten-fold increased sensitivity. We present data that show our cell lines outperform traditionally isolated cell lines and that they are more physiologically relevant detectors. |
