Presenting Author: John Walsh, Kalypsys, Inc. - USA Analytical analysis by LC/MS is the industry standard for the confirmation of a compound with pharmaceutical interest. Typical workflows require the re-plating of hits by Compound Management groups followed by a transfer of plates to an Analytical function for analysis. Upon completion of data analysis, results are then transferred to an Informatics group to appropriately archive and provide access to the originating project team. In efforts to speed up this element of the Discovery process, we have developed an integrated LC/MS analysis platform which facilitates on-the-fly compound assessment. We are able to directly sample a 1mM DMSO solution of any component or portion of our compound collection. This workflow circumvents the need for manual intervention and re-plating of compounds for off-line analysis. Custom software tools have been enacted to support the additional throughput. Aspects of the hardware and software integration, as well as ongoing profiling prospects will be discussed. |
