    Modular Dispense Technology (MDT) for the PerkinElmer Evolution P3 enables the laboratory user to place multiple MDT heads with varying volume capacities and tip densities onto the deck of Evolution P3. Assay optimization is implemented by using the best dispense head interchangeably and automatically, for each pipetting step. The Evolution P3 with Modular Dispense Technology is a fully adaptable liquid handling platform, able to automate any microplate application from 96 well to 1536 well density. More specifically, EP3 with MDT allows the laboratory user the capability to transfer large or small volumes in a single experimental template by selecting the appropriate MDT head for the task. Findings confirm expected performance values. Multiple regression analysis and percent CV results both substantiate pipetting precision and accuracy across all three MDT heads, regardless of volume: The integrity of the Evolution P3 with MD Technology is evident through the inter-dispense head linearity we have found.
