Workshops
Pre-conference workshops are an opportunity for exhibitors to provide attendees with in-depth information on new products and services and the latest technologies in screening. Each workshop runs for a half day and includes basic AV equipment (slide or overhead projector, laser pointer, microphone and screen). Workshops are held on Sunday, September 11th, 2005. Catering options will be provided in the exhibitor service kit.
Tutorials
As part of the scientific program, SBS offers exhibitors the opportunity to present their own scientific tutorial at the conference. Each tutorial runs for 45 minutes and includes basic AV equipment (slide or overhead projector, laser pointer, microphone, and screen). Tutorials will be held on Monday through Wednesday during the lunch break. Catering options will be provided in the exhibitor service kit. Tutorials are listed on the online registration form giving more visibility to these events. Tutorials and workshops will be included in the full program brochure (if reserved prior to May 2) and in the Conference Handbook (if reserved prior to July 1). Titles should be received by these dates.
Advertising in the Conference Handbook and/or SBS News
All exhibitors are given the opportunity to advertise products and services in the Conference Handbook. Reservations and collateral materials must be received by July 1, 2005. Please note that advertisements will be accepted from registered exhibitors and sponsors only. If you are interested in advertising, please include payment with the exhibitor application. SBS News can be sponsored for the issues before and post conference. Contact Betty Soltesz, Managing Director for more information.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Increase your visibility and show your commitment to supporting SBS. We provide many sponsorship opportunities, and sponsoring companies receive recognition on the SBS Web site, in the Conference Handbook, in other conference brochures, in the Journal of Biomolecular Screening, and by signage at the sponsored event. Please contact Betty Soltesz, Managing Director, for details.
Lead Retrieval
SBS provides exhibitors with the opportunity to gather attendee lead information electronically by means of a lead retrieval system. The lead retrieval system collects interested attendees' details by scanning encrypted registration information on the attendee's badge and capturing it in a data file. More information is provided in the exhibitor service kit.
Terms of Payment
Deposits of $1,500 must be included with the application in order to secure space. The balance due for all booth and ancillary services must be received no later than August 1, 2005. Companies with outstanding balances after the due date risk having their booth(s) canceled and forfeiting their deposit. Check are to be made payable to Society for Biomolecular Screening in US dollars and must be drawn on a US Bank. For information on wire transfers please contact the SBS office for details.
Space Assignment
Booth space will be assigned according to a priority point system. Beginning with points earned in the year 1995, points are cumulative in perpetuity and will be awarded on the basis of:
- Founding members: 25 points
- Exhibiting: 5 points per year
- Advertising in Conference Handbook: 2 points per full page
- Advertising in SBS News: 1 point per page per issue
- Advertising in JBS: 1 point per page per issue
The receipt date of the applications and deposits for exhibit space will be used for companies with identical point totals.
The deadline for booth selection under the point system is May 2, 2005. After this date, booths will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
