Tis the Season! Membership Renewal Reminder
If you lost or misplaced your copy of the SBS membership application, don’t despair. You can still renew on the SBS website.

Renewing is easy because the fields will be “pre-populated” with your current contact information.  All you need do is remember your username* (usually your first initial and last name) and your password* (usually your membership number), and then all you do is check for any changes in last year’s contact information, choose your form of payment, and you are done.

2008 Brings You 2 Additional Issues of JBS at no Additional Cost!
SBS will be publishing 10 issues of The Journal of Biomolecular Screening (Up from the present 8 issues per year) starting in 2008. You will be getting two extra issues of the Journal for the same membership dues as last year. Now is the perfect time to renew your membership and guarantee no interruption in your subscriptions to both The Journal of Biomolecular Screening and SBS News. Unless you renew your membership in SBS by December 31st. your membership will expire and there will be no more issues of JBS or SBS News coming your way .  Don’t delay, renew today.

New Virtual Course Launches
SBS is proud to present Medicinal Chemistry Concepts for Biologists in four module web presentations throughout March, 2008. This online course should be useful to biologists new to or learning the field of drug discovery, as well as biologists involved in collaborative research with medicinal chemists who will gain a better perspective of their chemistry colleagues' approach to drug discovery.

March 5: Module 1 Introduction to Medicinal Chemistry: It’s all about the molecules.

March 12: Module 2 Lead Compounds: The good, the bad and the ugly.

March 19: Module 3 Compound Optimization, Part 1: You mean it’s more than potency?

March 26: Module 4 Compound Optimization, Part 2: Are we there yet?

Each module will begin at 11:00 AM Eastern and run approximately 90 to 120 minutes.
